with Celebrated Local Artist Jeff Kapfer

ST. LOUIS — January 13, 2012 — Enjoy an exclusive peek at the work of St. Louis’ most exciting new artists at Arty Parties, a series of events that will showcase local talent in the chic surroundings of Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis and Cielo Bar & Restaurant.
“This event series is truly in response to our staff and customers’ love of great art. We constantly hear how much people appreciate the nearly $6 million worth of art that has been incorporated into our building. Arty Parties is a way to bring fresh work into the space and support all the fantastic talent that is right here in the city,” said Stephen Wancha, food and beverage director for the Hotel and Cielo.
Jeff Kapfer, who is best known for his vibrant paintings of birds, is the first featured artist. A selection of his most recent work will be displayed for a private showing in the Presidential Suite on the Hotel’s 19th floor, followed by a celebratory reception in Cielo Bar.
Kapfer’s work will also be displayed in Cielo throughout the month of February.
“Jeff’s paintings are bold, playful, and exciting, making them a perfect fit for our debut event,” said Alper Oztok, general manager of Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis.
